Full program description
The two-year Designated Subjects (DS) Program is a hybrid program with self-paced online coursework supported by face-to-face instructor led Zoom classes. The DS experience is organized into four terms that focus on project-based learning plans (one each term) that are supported by the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP), CTE and Adult Education standards, and the Designated Subjects Program. Candidates meet weekly with experienced and trained Mentors, who also observe and coach their Mentees.
Upon successful completion of the program and credential requirements, Candidates are eligible for their California Clear Adult Education Credential, which the program recommends to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) on their behalf.
